Hi, I’m Ali! I’m a passionate creative designer with a love for turning ideas into something tangible and impactful. My journey has taken me through a variety of projects, from design and branding to marketing and creative direction. I thrive on exploring new tools and techniques, always aiming to push boundaries and create work that resonates. Whether I’m diving into a new project or refining existing skills, I’m driven by curiosity and a commitment to delivering quality in everything I do.
The design process for the Canco Arena logo began with hand-drawn sketches, focusing on creating a bold and versatile logo that resonated with the West Asia and European markets, especially Italy. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Colosseum, this element was integrated into the design to connect with the Italian audience. These early sketches were key in refining the logo, which became a central part of the advertising campaign for renowned stationery brands like Faber-Castell, Staedtler, and Canco.
Bringing a sketch to life in graphic design is all about blending creativity with precision. For me, Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Illustrator is essential in this process. It allows me to turn rough ideas into clean, scalable logos that can be used across different platforms. Following key design principles is crucial to making a logo successful. For example, keeping the design simple, ensuring it’s readable at any size, and maintaining balance are all important. I also make sure to use vector-based formats for sharpness and consistency and stick to a cohesive color scheme and typography to strengthen the brand’s identity. These steps help ensure that the logo is not only eye-catching but also versatile and professional.
Creating the logo animation for Canco Arena was a real joy for me. I 3D-modeled the Colosseum, bringing it to life with animated flags and towers cleverly shaped like pens to represent the brand’s identity. It was a perfect blend of creativity and technical work, and watching the animation come together was incredibly rewarding. This project stands out as one of my favorites, combining both detail and dynamic motion in a fun and unique way.
For the Mr. Doll Maker logo, which I designed for a German brand specializing in dolls and puppets, I placed a strong emphasis on creating something that was both unique and memorable. It was important for the logo to reflect the craftsmanship and creativity behind the brand while also conveying a professional and polished image. I aimed to design a logo that would not only stand out but also carry a deeper meaning tied to the art of doll-making. I focused on simplicity and elegance to make sure the logo could be easily recognized and remembered, while maintaining versatility so it could be used across various mediums and scales without losing its impact. This balance of creativity and professionalism is what makes a logo truly effective and long-lasting.
For the Mr. Doll Maker logo, my focus was on creating a design that not only stood out visually but also captured the brand’s essence of craftsmanship and creativity. The challenge was to reflect the artistry behind handmade dolls and puppets while keeping the logo professional and timeless. My goal was to craft a symbol that wasn’t just visually appealing but also told a story—one that resonated with the brand’s values of quality craftsmanship and individuality. By making thoughtful design choices, I ensured that the Mr. Doll Maker logo became a true reflection of the brand’s unique identity, helping it feel both distinctive and memorable.
One of my major product design projects was the Jumanji board game, where I was responsible for every aspect of its production. From conceptualizing the gameplay to designing and creating prototypes, packaging design, and intricate 3D modeling, I managed the project end to end. Additionally, I directed the marketing efforts, producing promotional videos that captured the essence of the game. The result was a cohesive product that blended engaging gameplay with captivating design and effective marketing, delivering a unique and immersive experience for players.
Maintaining high quality and standards, even when things get hectic, is crucial in any project, especially during the Jumanji board game development. Despite tight deadlines, late-night work sessions, and countless cups of coffee, staying focused on delivering a top-tier product was key. Every project has its own challenges, but ensuring consistency in quality makes all the difference. The effort paid off, as we were awarded the Best Culturally Adapted Board Game from CIDCA for this project, a recognition that made all the hard work truly rewarding.
For the Jumanji board game, I was deeply involved in creating the promotional video, where I directed, edited, and handled 3D modeling. The goal was to capture the adventure and nostalgia of the original film while showcasing the unique features of the board game. Through detailed 3D modeling, I recreated the immersive game environment, and with careful editing, I crafted a dynamic narrative that resonated with the target audience. Every shot was designed to evoke excitement and curiosity, making the video not just a promotion but an experience in itself, effectively supporting the marketing campaign.
Packaging design, requires a careful balance of creativity and consistency. Every product in this field often has a unique shape or character, making it essential to create designs that are visually appealing while staying true to the brand’s overall identity. The challenge is to ensure that each package stands out individually but also feels like part of a cohesive product line. In children’s products, this is particularly delicate, as the design needs to be engaging, colorful, and fun, all while maintaining the brand’s core values and visual language across various items. Achieving this consistency is key to building brand recognition and trust among parents and kids alike.
In my work on brand identity, I focus on creating a cohesive and memorable visual experience that extends across all platforms and products. I’ve developed comprehensive brand books for successful brands, including the Canadian company Canco Canada, ensuring visual consistency in everything from logos and color schemes to typography and imagery. Additionally, I specialize in designing holograms, anti-counterfeiting measures, and security features that not only protect the brand but also enhance its authenticity and trustworthiness. This holistic approach helps build a strong, recognizable brand that stands out in the market.
IQWizard brand is a fresh and creative startup with educational content for children, and I had the chance to be part of the creative team of this brand as a creative designer, from the initial stages to the formation of the brand concept, logo design, character design, making and editing YouTube videos, and preparing and rigging the brand characters for educational animation series.
Gamification is a powerful tool that transforms marketing into an interactive and immersive experience. By integrating game elements—such as rewards, challenges, and storytelling into marketing strategies, brands can boost engagement, customer loyalty, and overall user experience. I have successfully worked on projects where I helped brands create engaging gamified campaigns that captivated their audiences, increased customer interaction, and enhanced brand loyalty. This approach is especially effective for children, as it makes learning fun while reinforcing key educational concepts. Combining gamification with educational content not only captivates young audiences but also enhances their cognitive skills and creativity. Whether through interactive apps, loyalty programs, or engaging story-driven campaigns, well-designed game elements make marketing more dynamic, memorable, and impactful for all ages.
Integrating educational software and STEM toys with VR technology and hologram projection takes learning to a whole new level by bringing characters and elements to life. This innovative approach makes educational content more immersive, interactive, and engaging, especially for children. I have collaborated on exciting projects in this field, working with game development teams to create 3D scenes, CGI animations, videography, and compositing, as well as preparing content for 360-degree videos. By blending advanced technology with storytelling and hands-on learning, we can transform education into an unforgettable experience that sparks curiosity and creativity.
While I’m not primarily a character designer, I’ve had the opportunity to create multiple characters for books, animations, and brands throughout my career. Each project has allowed me to explore the art of character design, blending personality, aesthetics, and storytelling into a visual representation that resonates with audiences. These experiences have sharpened my eye for detail and helped me better understand how characters contribute to the overall identity of a project. While character design isn’t my main focus, it’s an area I’ve developed a strong passion for, and I always enjoy the creative challenge it presents.
Recently, I’ve taken my character design process a step further by exploring the potential of generative AI to enhance my creative work. After earning a certificate in this field, I began incorporating tools like DALL·E alongside my own sketches, combining AI’s computational power with traditional design methods. This approach has allowed me to push the boundaries of character creation, crafting unique and engaging characters faster and with more creative flexibility. The blend of AI and traditional design has not only streamlined my workflow but also opened up new possibilities for innovation and storytelling within my projects.
Every good design begins with a strong idea, and for my Nike Grand Piano poster, it all started when I noticed the unique shape of the Nike logo. I envisioned the swoosh resembling the lid of a grand piano opening, and that sparked the concept. I quickly sketched out this idea, bringing together the worlds of music and athleticism in a visually striking way. This initial spark of inspiration laid the foundation for what would become the final design.
From there, I refined the sketch, working on every detail to ensure the concept was both clear and impactful. Using a combination of traditional sketching and digital design tools, I brought the idea to life, merging the elegance of a grand piano with the energy of the Nike brand. To complement the visual, I came up with the slogan, “Go forte, or piano, it’s Grand Piano, just do it.” a play on musical dynamics that tied in perfectly with Nike’s iconic tagline. This slogan, one of my personal favorites, added an extra layer of meaning to the design, reinforcing the connection between music and performance in a bold, creative way.
Curiosity drives growth—whether it’s advancing your career, honing your skills, or finding new opportunities in life. True creativity and innovation go beyond the tools; they come from embracing the process, exploring fresh ideas, and finding joy in what you do. Stay curious, keep learning, and enjoy the journey! I’ve crafted many innovative elements for websites and applications, bringing creativity and functionality together.
I’ve designed signage and wayfinding systems for a variety of industries, focusing on making navigation clear and efficient. Wayfinding is all about guiding people through spaces with easy-to-read, well-placed signs that help them find their way. Following key standards, like ensuring good legibility, using strong color contrasts, and keeping symbols and typography consistent, is crucial. My goal is always to create designs that are both functional and visually appealing, making navigation as smooth as possible.
I designed and developed an application to simplify the ordering process for promotional pens for brands and companies. The app enables users to easily select their preferred pen and customize individual parts such as the clip, body, and grip in a variety of colors and finishes. Each customized element is assigned a unique code, allowing for precise tracking and management of every order. This approach makes it easy for customers to create fully personalized promotional items while streamlining the entire ordering process.
Throughout the years, I’ve had the chance to work on a wide range of creative projects. While it’s tough to gather and showcase everything I’ve done, I’ve managed to collect a few of my favorites and archive them on my website. Feel free to take a look—I hope they give you a good sense of the variety of work I’ve been involved in and my love for creativity!
